ECLASS CONGRESS 2021: AmpereSoft lecture and virtual info stand

Data managers, executives and practitioners: they will all meet this September for the first purely virtual ECLASS CONGRESS. The event, which is taking place for the eighth time, is one of the top events in the field of Digital Twin, Smart Manufacturing and digitalisation and serves to exchange know-how, promote innovation and provide an opportunity for networking. The programme includes numerous expert presentations, each dealing with important aspects around the topics of data standards and Industry 4.0. AmpereSoft is also taking part.

In order to circumvent possible pandemic-related restrictions, the experts’ meeting will take place exclusively online this year. About 250 participants from different countries are expected at the digital congress of the ECLASS association. This edition of the event will again focus on the challenges and benefits of data-driven processes in the industrial environment. In order to get in touch with the desired and suitable players from companies and industry, there is the possibility to find discussion partners online via matchmaking.

Exciting impulses for such conversations are provided by the lectures, keynotes and live talks that fill the agenda of the day. The topics of the programme range from theoretical basics to practical application examples and are aimed at both specialists and beginners. For example, it will be explained how market advantages can be achieved with the help of standardised article data or what has been done in the area of sensor technology with the release of ECLASS 12.0. Best practice examples will also be used to illustrate how ECLASS can optimise internal processes and reduce costs. In the presentation “How ECLASS Advanced became the Hero of Smart Electronical Engineering”, Thomas Tholen, Product Owner ProPlan CAE at AmpereSoft, shows the many possibilities offered by the product data standard for optimising computer-aided engineering. Here, our expert goes into all process steps, from configuration to quotation preparation and temperature calculation to detailed engineering, and also explains the use of ECLASS data in the context of Smart Maintenance requirements.

In addition, it is made clear how ECLASS Advanced is structured and how this structure with the subdivision into elements (block, aspect, cardinality and polymorphism) promotes the different possibilities of use. How is the automated creation of layout symbols implemented? What is the potential of combining 3D step models and detailed connection information? How can auto-routing be further improved and what information is needed for fully autonomous robot-assisted production?

Thomas Tholen will address the answers to these and other questions in his vivid lecture at 2:40 pm.
