DXF file without information becomes a circuit symbol with connections

Automatically the right circuit symbol: ECLASS and AmpereSoft create the future of computer aided engineering

Networking and communication as well as the interaction of various actors and components are almost standard in many areas today. Not so in electrical engineering. Although seamless digital processes should be the norm here in the sense of Industry 4.0, there are still “white spots” on the engineering map that can only be overcome by human manual labour. This includes the creation of circuit symbols for circuit diagrams. Thanks to ECLASS 13, however, this work is now a thing of the past.

New ECLASS version: More sustainability and comprehensive information in the engineering process

The number 13: What is considered unlucky in many places becomes a real stroke of luck with the new version of the ECLASS classification standard. With ECLASS 13 now available, planners benefit from numerous optimisations. Not only does the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) make it possible to act more ecologically. In addition, important contents of digital catalogues such as delivery times or customs duties can now be securely described in ECLASS and output in BMEcat format.

Meeting market requirements: Converting edz files with the AmpereSoft ToolSystem

The CAE future is ECLASS. Because only with this standard can Industry 4.0 promises such as automated, efficient and, as far as possible, error-free engineering be realized. Uniformity is therefore the goal. Many steps have already been taken along the way, but it will still take time before ECLASS is used everywhere on a mandatory basis. For example, data for engineering is often still available in proprietary file formats such as the edz format. The AmpereSoft tool system does justice to this.

The first question of the terminal configurator survey

Insights from the practice: results of the user survey on terminal configurators

Error messages, praise and criticism, suggestions for improvements: The opinion of our users is very important to us when it comes to further improving our ToolSystem. In order to be able to offer real added value with every release and every service pack, we depend on feedback from the practice. How do we gather this feedback? We ask – as in the case of the current survey on the topic of terminal configurators.
