ECLASS for SMEs: Free online seminar on standardized classification and product description

Simplified processes, a reduced risk of errors and, last but not least, the chance to save a lot of working time: Product data standards offer great potential for optimization in engineering for manufacturers and users. But how can medium-sized companies also benefit from this? AmpereSoft Managing Director Stefan Mülhens explains this in the online seminar of the Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center eStandards using the example of ECLASS Advanced. Places are still available for the free German-language event.

Under the title “Manufacturing products cleverly – Smart Engineering in electrical engineering with ECLASS Advanced”, the Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center eStandards invites interested parties to an online seminar in September. The event, which will last just under two hours, will include not only technical presentations but also a discussion section. Participants will have the opportunity to ask their own personal questions on the topic.

The virtual seminar will focus on the ECLASS Advanced product data standard, which AmpereSoft GmbH has been committed to developing and establishing for many years. Stefan Mülhens, AmpereSoft managing director and long-time member of the ECLASS CRD/CAx working groups, will show the participants in his presentations, among other things, how standardized product information can be used in engineering. For example, he will address how time savings can be realized and show the efficiency of automated calculations using the example of simulations. In addition, the added values that arise with the help of a high-quality and standardized product database will be explained. Atussa Yarahmadi from Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center eStandards and André Lindner from the ECLASS office will accompany the event and will also be available for further questions.

The establishment of digital standards is close to AmpereSoft’s heart

Encouraging and enabling SMEs to implement sustainable digitization with the help of electronic standards is an important concern for us as an ECLASS Gold Partner. The cooperation with the Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center eStandards is therefore a logical step. The non-profit organization has set itself the goal of providing assistance to medium-sized companies when it comes to developing and implementing sustainable digital business models based on electronic standards.

To this end, the Competence Center provides free information – in the form of brochures, checklists and training courses, but also in the course of presentations and seminars. It is part of the “Mittelstand 4.0” funding initiative, which is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.

The online seminar Standardisiertes Klassifizieren und Beschreiben zur Optimierung digitaler Engineering-Prozesse in der Elektrotechnik“ is aimed at both manufacturers and those responsible for design and development. It takes place on

20.09.2022
10:45 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Further information and the possibility to register is available on the website of the Competence Center.
